My WoodShop HideOut

My father and I both enjoyed woodworking and spent a lot of time together working on projects over the years. After moving into my own house I quickly built my own wood working shop. Between dad and I we had about every tool a wood shop needed and then some. Dad passed away in 2016 and it was quickly appearant that my basement shop was not big enough to hold his tools and mine so I started on an expansion project to almost double the shop size. It took the better part of 7 months to rework the shop. The new shop turned out wonderful and it so nice to have the extra space.

Every power tool has a permanent or nearby connection for dust collections. This is such

The new lighting is almost blinding in the shop. The lighting around the ceiling consists of 38 - 4 foot LED bulbs and 4 LED can lights. Working in a bright shop is such a pleaseure and there are no dark corners for dropped items to hide.

All wood workers know the motto... You can't have enough clamps. Well, I think I can finally take clamps off my Christmas wish list. I'm sure I'll wish I had one more clamp at some time but I think I'm officially out of room.

The new expanded shop is a joy to work in. A clean and well organized work area makes the jobs much more enjoyable but the projects always seem to be missing something that was taken far too for granted...

I sure miss you dad!
